have you looked at an anatomy book lately? i just saw one from the body worlds exhibit that shows plasticine recreations of the human body, from the inside. miraculous! it blows my mind to see how intricate our bodies are, how magnificently everything fits and works together when it is at its most healthy and fit. i don’t know about you, but appreciating the intricacies and realizing how delicate the balance really is makes me want to take better care of myself.
i have found something that makes me feel energized and ready to take on the world. at my age, that’s not an easy order. my joints are starting to creak, my back makes it harder and harder to get out of bed in the morning, and this cursed bunion has flared up once again. i walk and use the cybex arc trainer fairly religiously (when my sweet hogan, canine companion, doesn’t lull me into inertness on the couch) and have a job where i am on my feet all day. i’m pretty active, in other words, and have been able to keep up the pace for the most part, but some days it’s just plain hard.
my son recently told me about a company called ARIIX that relies on the science of nutrition rather than the current fad (like raspberry ketones, garcinia cambogia and others) to develop wellness products. rather than being limited by the precepts of western medicine, they search around the world for what helps the body function at its highest level. much of their research is conducted in-house, but they also enlist research from top universities around the world. of course, it is important that i add that the food & drug administration hasn’t evaluated the products, nor are the products intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
but i have to tell you that i am impressed. i have been taking the vitamins, minerals and coQ-10 for a couple of months and not only have more pep in my step but am noticing less bloat (there’s a lovely word) and an increase in firmness overall. here’s what i think: when you know that you’re taking good care of your body you want to do as much as you can to take play that card. insuring that you are getting good nutrition by taking vitamins and minerals naturally leads to eating better, cleaner, more nutrition-rich foods. when i eat better i want to get more exercise, and when i eat better and get more exercise, i want to go out and take on the world. really.
i’m not a paid representative of the company, nor am i getting free products for this information. i just want to share my experience and direct anyone who is interested to the ARIIX site for more information.
life is short. be your best. give it a look see. you don’t have to thank me!
